How a home visit works
- Call first. Describe the patient's condition and location. You will be told plainly whether a home visit is appropriate or whether clinic treatment would serve better.
- Assessment at home. The first visit is a full assessment — including how the patient actually moves around their own home, which often reveals more than a clinic assessment can.
- Treatment and a programme. Hands-on treatment, plus an exercise programme the patient or their carer can continue between visits. The programme is the part that drives recovery.
- Transition to clinic where possible. As mobility improves, moving to clinic sessions gives access to the TECAR, ShockWave and ultrasound equipment that cannot travel.
